Museum History
The Euroa Historical Society was formed in 1965. The Shire of Euroa purchased the property for the Museum in 1972 and it was officially opened to the public in 1974. The Euroa Genealogical Society combined with the Euroa Historical Society 1992. In 1998 the name was changed to Euroa Historical & Genealogical Society.
The Museum aims to:
Record and preserve the history of Euroa and Districts.
Encourage an interest in the history of our town.
Collect and display items of significance to the area.
Assist in historical research relating to people, places and events significant to the area.
The items below are some of the exhibits on display in our outdoor area.
